World Cup Qualify HILIGHT!!

Reid finished as Thailand national coach

"The Football Association of Thailand and Reid, who has shown his desire to work in the Premier League, have agreed to terminate the contract." Worawi Makudi said.

Reid finished as Thailand national coach

Thailand on Wednesday formally terminated its contract with national football coach Peter Reid, who is set to take up an offer to serve as assistant at Stoke.

Football Association of Thailand chairman Worawi Makudi said the decision was made in consultation with former Sunderland and Manchester City boss Reid, who still has three years left on his contract.

Reid took over the Thai national team in September 2008 on a four-year contract but a clause in his contract allowed him to leave if he received an offer from an English club.

He said last month that he would leave Thailand and take up a job as deputy to Stoke manager Tony Pulis, but only after he had fixed the issue with the Thai FA.
Reid's assistant, Steve Darby, will act as Thailand's coach until a new manager is official appointed.

Thailand were previously coached by Aston Villa striker Peter Withe, who from 1998 to 2002 led the team to two Tiger Cup wins and the semi-final of the Asian Games in Bangkok.

Thailand, with two draws in the Asian Cup qualifying rounds, will next play Singapore on 14 November in Singapore.

Transfer poker begins for Oezil

"He could also do very well at Bayern."

Transfer poker begins for Bremen's Oezil

Having caught the eye for the national team after scoring in last weekend's 2-0 win over South Africa, the transfer poker around Germany's latest star Mesut Oezil from Werder Bremen has already begun.

The 20-year-old is contracted to Bremen until June 2011, but his performance and debut goal on his first start for the national team has raised his profile considerably with the midfielder set to face Azerbaijan on Wednesday.

"Mesut's contract still runs for two years and at present there is no need to extend his contract."
his advisor Reza Fazeli told German tabloid Bild ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier in Hanover.

Already Spanish giants Valencia and Premier League club Manchester City have expressed an interest in signing him, but Bremen's director of sport Klaus Allofs said the Bundesliga side are in no rush.

"We are in no hurry. Nothing has really changed for us." said Allofs.

But Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld, who steered Bayern Munich to the league and cup double in 2008, says he can imagine Oezil replacing Real Madrid-target Franck Ribery in Munich.

Speculation over whether Ribery will stay with Bayern or leave for Madrid next season is rarely off the backpages here and Oezil would suit Bayern's style if they need a replacement, says Hitzfeld.

"He could also do very well at Bayern." he said.

"He is a great player, who injects some pace into counter-attacks.

"He reminds me of Memut Scholl and is the type of player who fits Bayern's system."

Argentina will crack under pressure :said Kaka.

"They are going to start off a little tense and I think this can play in our favour. There are many ways in which we can try to exploit the fact the pressure is on Argentina."

Argentina will crack under pressure: Brazil ace Kaka

But he added it would be tough for both sides.

"The game won't be easy for anyone - with a Brazil v Argentina match there will be a number of top talents out there with players capable of swinging the match at any moment."

"Our target is to beat Argentina and qualify for the World Cup. It would be ideal if Brazil could go through against Argentina," said Kaka, who will be winning his 70th cap."

Kaka said he wanted to play down his duel with Barcelona's Messi.

"I would vote for him today (as world player of the year) for all that he won (last season) with Barcelona. I believe Messi is the big favourite to win the prize as FIFA's best player this year."

Brazil star Kaka said Thursday he believes Argentina will crack under pressure when the old rivals meet Saturday in their World Cup qualifier in Rosario.

Argentina are only fourth in the regional group, five points behind the group-leading Brazilians, and only four teams go through automatically, hence Real Madrid star Kaka says the nerves will get to Lionel Messi and company as they go all out for the win they need to catch up.

Trezeguet to leave Juve at season's end.

"I have made my story at this club. Sooner or later everything has to come to an end."

Trezeguet to leave Juve at season's end.

Former France forward David Trezeguet said on Thursday that he will leave Italian giants Juventus at the end of the season.

Trezeguet joined Juve from Monaco in 2000 after scoring the golden goal winner for France in the European Championship final against Italy that summer.

He has scored more than 160 goals for Juventus and is the highest scoring foreigner ever to have played for the club.

However, the striker of Argentine heritage has since lost his place in the Juventus first team and started only one league match last season, while this season he has yet to figure.

He was widely rumoured to be on his way out during the summer but stayed at the club where he has a contract until 2011.

However, now he says he will cut that short by a year, completing exactly 10 years at the Old Lady of Turin.

"Nothing has changed in my relationship with the club and I've never asked to leave.

"My contract has never been a problem. It's a decision I have taken a little while ago and I will return home with my family."

The 31-year-old Trezeguet, who is married with two children, did not specify if that would mean the end of his career, or if going home meant to France or Argentina, where he began his football career at Platense.

"I don't know, now's not the time to talk about that because we are only at the second match of the season," he added.

"I want to finish my story with Juventus by winning something."

Trezeguet won two French league titles with Monaco and two Serie A titles -- and a Serie B crown -- with Juventus.

His best season came in 2002 when Juve were champions and he was named both Player of the Year and Foreign Player of the Year, as well as finishing as the joint top scorer in Serie A.

He also enjoyed success on the international stage, winning the World Cup with France in 1998 and the European Championship two years later.

However, he was part of the Juve team that was stripped of its 2005 and 2006 Scudetto crowns for match-fixing and relegated to Serie B.

Unlike many other big-name players, though, Trezeguet stayed loyal to the team and helped them bounce back up to Serie A at the first attempt.

Now, though, he has been shunted down the striker pecking order behind Amauri, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Alessandro Del Piero.

The Perfect Replacement.

Hi!! everyone.
The EPL Transfer Market have closed already in yesterday and i'm so appreciated about this man signing.
How about you?? :D

The Perfect Replacement!!

"We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Portsmouth for the transfer of Niko Kranjcar to the Club, following the player successfully completing a medical examination and agreeing personal terms,"

Spurs land Croatia midfielder Kranjcar from Portsmouth.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp signed Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee on Tuesday.

Redknapp moved for Kranjcar after Luka Modric suffered a broken leg during Saturday's Premier League victory over Birmingham.

Croatian playmaker Modric will be out for at least six weeks and Redknapp, who worked with Kranjcar at Portsmouth, believes the 25-year-old is the perfect replacement.

Robben Fantastic Debut

Hi!! Everyone.
R & R = Robben and Ribery!!
in my opinion , it may be the new duo legend in the world!! :D
how about your feeling??

Robben Fantastic Debut!!

“It was fantastic, I’ve come on and scored twice. I couldn’t have wished for a better start. This is a very special day for me,”

the visibly delighted Robben said afterwards, before sending out a clear message of intent, not only to the reigning champions but to all Bayern’s rivals in the German title race:

“That was just a start. We have to follow it up in our next match. That’s why I’m here. I play football to win trophies.”

New boy Arjen makes instant impression!!

New arrival Arjen Robben, who only completed his switch from Real Madrid the day before, launched his Bayern career in the best way possible with two goals in his first match debut.

After coming on as a half-time substitute, the Netherlands international twice latched onto sublime Franck Ribéry assists to help his new club beat champions Wolfsburg 3-0 and begin the recovery from a below-par opening to their Bundesliga campaign.

The 25-year-old replaced the limping Hamit Altintop at half-time, immediately adding new impetus and inspiration down the right flank.

“After watching what he did in the second half, you’re hungry for more,”

Bayern Director of Sport Christian Nerlinger enthused.

However, despite his pivotal contribution, the lightning-quick wide player rated the victory far higher than his own personal achievement:

“It wasn’t just me. The whole team deserves praise. We controlled the game.”

Coach Louis van Gaal nevertheless singled out the man in the number ten jersey for his fine performance.

“It’s always difficult when a transfer is a matter of just two days. He’s come to Munich where he doesn’t know anyone – maybe the coach, the players off the TV – and he suddenly has to work with them. And he’s gone out and done this. It confirms he’s class, and I’m delighted we have him here at Bayern.”
